DEVENTTER is a progressive metal band from Brazil formed in 2001. The band currently consists of Felipe Schäffer (vocals), Caio Teixeira (drums), Leonardo Milani (bass), Danilo Pilla (guitar), André Marengo (guitar), Hugo Bertolaccini (keyboards).
Back in 2001 Hugo Bertolaccini and André Gabriotti were very interested in progressive rock and decided to compose a song of said style and thus "The Beauty... And the Dark Side of our Lives" was made, a twenty-three-minute plus song. The song didn't feature any vocals and the drums were all programmed.
After the release of the one song EP the band went through several lineup changes including the two departure of original member André Gabriotti. In 2007 the band self-released their debut LP "The 7th Dimension" which has been well received by fans of the genre.
