Polish outfit AFTER... was formed in June 2002, as a more or less direct continuation of the recently disbanded band Awake. The initial members were Czarek Bregier (guitars) and Wojtek Tyminski (guitars), joined at the onset by Sylwia Wojciechowska (vocals), Mariusz Ziolkowski (bass) and Radek Wieckowski (drums). Tomek Wisniewski (keyboards) hooked up with the band shortly after, and with a great deal of enthusiasm they started rehearsing and producing material.

The band started recording material the same year, but this turned out to be a slow process. Their chosen engineer as well as the band members had obligations elsewhere to cater for as well, with bassist Ziolkowski's involvement in the revived Quidam as an example of this.

In September 2005 After... was asked to open up for Sylvan and Riverside at a concert in Poznan. An important event for the band, as they were signed by Polish label OSKAR following this event. At just about that time After... also suffered their first line-up change, as vocalist Sylwia decided to leave the band, replaced by Krzysiek Drogowski (vocals) soon after.

The recording sessions speeded up at this point, band and label eager to finalize their debut effort. A few musical guests agrees to participate as well, namely Colin Bass (Camel), Josef Skrzek (SBB) and Jacek Zasada (Quidam). In November 2005 the album was finally issued, named Endless Lunatic.

After...played a few select concerts to promote the album just before and after the album release. Opening for Fish in October and playing at the Dutch Prog Farm event as well as the ArtRock festival in Poznan were the most important of these.

In 2007 After... hit the studio again, and in June 2008 the sophomore effort Hideout was released, as with their first effort on Polish label OSKAR. Some select live shows were done to support the album, with a tour alongside Galahad prior to the release and participating in the German Art-Rock festival in Reichenbach as the most noteworthy.

In 2009 the band has concentrated on two spells of mini-tours in the spring and autumn respectively, and hopefully preparing material for a new album as well.
